He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Antonio and Filomena Esquibel; his great-grandparents, Perfecto and Tonita Valerio; his parents, Benito Martinez and Laura Martinez; his sister Dolores Martinez; his nephew Ronald Martinez; and his great-nephew Steve Martinez.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Martinez; his children, Jessica Medina, Johnny Martinez (Sandra) and Joseph "Jojo" Martinez; his brother Larry Martinez (Henrietta); his nieces, June, Desiree (Brad) and Roberta Padilla; and his sister Patsy Martinez (Panchito). He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
