He was predeceased by: his parents, Guadalupe Ortega and Clafas Montez; his siblings, Manuel Ortega and Mary Garcia; and his mother-in-law Lidia Juarez.
He is survived by: his wife Myra Ortega; his sons, Chauncy Ortega and Dominic Ortega; his grandchildren, Michael Stevens, Cassie Stevens, Natalie Stevens, Jay Ortega, Karissa Ortega, Romina Ortega and Romilly Ortega; his great grandchildren, Kynlee Millican and Rosali Ortega; and his sisters, Celia Palomina, Lucia Tovar, Olivia Zuniga, Margie Ortega, Anita Castillo and Alicia Castillo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
