She was predeceased by: her close friend Manuel Beltran; her daughter Patricia Gomez; and her siblings, Samuel Mendoza, Abel Mendoza, Daniel Mendoza, Mary Helen Tovarez, Angie Martinez, Esther Romero and Anita Fontez.
She is survived by: her son Geno Mendoza; her grandchildren, Kylie Mendoza, Y'lliana Mendoza (Mendoza) and Kiing Geno Mendoza; and her siblings, Adon Mendoza, Senovio Mendoza, David Mendoza (Cindy) and Esmeralda Lerma. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Denton-Wood Funeral Home (1001 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A prayer was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the San Jose Catholic Church (1002 Debaca St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A Mass was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
