It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Aldaz in Carlsbad, New Mexico, who passed away on April 21, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Barbara leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve Segotta and Elizabeth "Wee Wee" Segotta; and her brother Jerry Segotta. She is survived by: her husband Joe Aldaz; her son Joey Aldaz; her daughter-in-law Tricia of Carlsbad; her grandchildren, Alyssa, Steven, Sara, Lynzee and Garret; her great grandchild Kimber; and her sister Betty June (David Huddleston) of Albuquerque.
