He was predeceased by: his parents, E. N. Forrest and Gentry Forrest (Hudnall); his wife Barbara Forrest; his son Gary Forrest; his daughter-in-law Brenda Forrest; and his brothers, Elvin Forrest and Dick Forrest.
He is survived by: his sons, Bobby Forrest and Mike Forrest (Jo); his grandchildren, Jesse Forrest, Jeff Forrest (Shannon), Michael Forrest (Lindsey), Lee Emerson (Brett) and Ross Forrest (Selden); and his sister Gloria Wilson. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the First Methodist Church (207 N Halagueno St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
