She was predeceased by: her parents, Candelario Carrasco and Cruz Carrasco (Acosta); her son Mario Valdez; her great grandchild Samira Godinez; and her siblings, Concepcion Onsurez, Cornelia Martinez, Candelario Jr. and Conrad Carrasco.
She is survived by: her husband Hector N. Valdez; her daughters, Olga Godinez, Faviola V. Florez, Jeanne Valdez and Anna Valdez; her grandchildren, Davy Godinez (Jamie), Rene Godinez, Cruz, Cathy Florez, Pamela Florez, Mike Gallegos and Haylie Valdez; her great grandchildren, Michael, Gavin, Ava, Elucio, Dominic, Xiomara, Brianne, Brayden, Tayler and Talen; and her sister Corina C. Urquidez. She is also survived by four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Denton-Wood Funeral Home (1001 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A rosary will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the San Jose Catholic Church (1002 Debaca St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
