With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Chester Berry (Carlsbad, New Mexico), born in Colorado City, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2024 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, N. T. Berry and Jeanette Berry (Simpson); and his grandparents, Chester Cleveland, Cora Mae Berry, Nathaniel and Myrtle Simpson.

He is survived by: his wife Merle; his children, Chester Kent "Chuck" Berry II (Terri), Misti Anne Fernandez (Alan) of Carlsbad and Alisa Michele Zamora (Rick) of Lubbock, TX; his sister Barbara Jean Berry; and his grandchildren, Tenisha Graham (Jamie), Tanille Bruce (Winn), Jeremiah Fernandez (Lacey) of Carlsbad, Adrianne Prouty (Bryan), Trey Berry (Becca), Sadie Smith (Dennis), Kent Zamora (Allie) and Sunni Raitz (Jonathan). He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
