With solemn reverence, we commemorate Dale J. Vickrey Jr. of Carlsbad, New Mexico, whose life came to an end on January 1, 2026 at the age of 61, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale J. Vickrey Sr. and Phyllis Stark Vickrey; his grandparents, James Vickrey, Eva Bambrook Vickrey, James R. Stark and Dorsie Bruce Stark; his nephew Bubba Briones; and his father-in-law Arvon McCarty.

He is survived by: his wife Angie Vickrey; his children, Dale J. Vickrey III and Jennifer Appenzeller (Adam); his granddaughters, Shelbi Appenzeller, Shaylee Appenzeller, Castin Vickrey and Copper Vickrey; his great grandchild Kolter Lee-James; his sister Ann Harrelson (Carl); his mother-in-law Wanda McCarty; and his siblings-in-law, Arvon McCarty (Vicki), Tim McCarty (Terri), Shawn McCarty (Karla) and Dawn Reid (Toby). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
