He was predeceased by: his former wife Judee Rempel; and his parents, Dorothy Huntley Rempel and William Rempel. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Rempel; his children, Matthew Rempel, Luke Rempel, Rachel Hagerty and Erik Rempel; his stepdaughters, Johnna Powell and Chelsea Powell; his grandchildren, Jude, Levi, Elijah, Nico, Danny, Elan and Lincoln; his stepgrandchildren, Gage, Nadia, Kinley, Lucy, Willow, Allana and Jordan; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Amari and Na'Laiah; and his brothers, William, Rick and Carl Rempel. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church (1302 W Pierce St, Carlsbad, NM 88220).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in loving memory of Daniel Herbert Rempel.
