He was predeceased by: his parents, Hipolito "Opo" Fernandez and Frances Fernandez (Luna); his siblings, Rachel Smith, Henry Fernandez and Bobby Fernandez; and his nephew Alan Smith.
He is survived by: his son Fabian Fernandez; his stepchildren, Johnny Raye Nanez and Tami Nanez; his grandsons, Matthew Michael Fernandez and Ethan Michael Montes; his siblings, Pearl Griego (Sammy) and Jerry Fernandez; his sister-in-law Yolanda Fernandez (Jolie); and his nieces and nephews, Terry Smith, Grace Centrella, Anjeanette Alford, Dominic Smith, Larry Fernandez, Gerald Fernandez, Shelly Collins, Clarissa Lovato, Eric Griego and Anisa Griego-Quintana.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests making a donation in his name, to his church parish, San Jose Catholic Church or to a charity of your choosing.
