He is survived by: his wife Cassandra Witherspoon; his sons, Merritt Witherspoon of Los Angeles and Austin Witherspoon (Jazmine); his grandchild Alizah Mae of Ruidoso, NM; his siblings-in-law, Clarissa Derrick, Louis Derrick (Valerie) of San Antonio, TX and Janey Witherspoon of Hobbs, NM; and his nephew Allen Witherspoon.
