He is survived by: his mother Elfida Martinez (Gonzalez); his son Eddie Duarte (Kayme); his siblings, Norma Pompa (Philip), Gloria Ortega, Tommy Martinez (Elva), Kathy Ortega (Raul) and Terri Martinez; and his grandchildren, Lane Burkeen of Carlsbad, NM, Brook'Lynn Navarrette of Carlsbad, NM, Koen Duarte of Carlsbad, NM and Hannli Duarte of Carlsbad, NM.
