He was predeceased by : his parents, Jose Ornelas and Conrada Ornelas (Parras); and his sister Maria Linda Ornelas Holguin. He is survived by : his close friend Cara Speer; his daughter Amy Ornelas Mudd (Nick); his grandchildren, Nicholas Mudd, Zoe Mudd and Nolan Mudd; his brother Joe Ornelas (Margaret) of El Paso, TX; his niece Talya Ornelas Meredith (Clettis) of El Paso, TX; his great-nephew Atticus Meredith; his niece Alyessa Ornelas (Jonathan Ballard); and his great-nephews, Owen and Liam Ballard Ornelas.
