He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Susana Venegas and Albert Estrada; his uncle Juan Venegas; and his close friend Steven Escareño. He is survived by: his daughter Rowan Montez; his parents, Abelina Estrada (Arturo Vasquez) and Eugene Montez; his stepfather Eric Estrada; his siblings, Honesty Carabajal, Alyssa Montez, Melissa Estrada, Marissa Estrada, Dreston Montez, Callease Montez, Adam and Eve Montez; his grandparents, Remigio Venegas, Carmen Montez and Brenda Armendarez; and his siblings' children, Lylah Chavez and Dru Chavez. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Denton-Wood Funeral Home (1001 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A prayer was held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the San Jose Catholic Church (1002 Debaca St, Carlsbad, NM 88220).
