It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guadalupe Martinez Pena of Carlsbad, New Mexico, who passed away on October 17, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Margarito Martinez and Blanche Morton Martinez; and her siblings, Margarito Martinez Jr., Julia Florez and Blanche Madrid.

She is survived by : her husband Adan M. Pena; her daughters, Gladys Sanchez, Glenda Mallet (Bob), Zenaida Bautista and Grace Martinez; her siblings, Luis Martinez, Tommy Martinez (Selina), Gabriel Martinez (Joanne), Amelia Franco, Priscilla Lopez (David) and Cathy Greene; her grandchildren, Cheyvonne Sanchez, Andrew Sanchez, Savannah Sanchez, Brant Sanders, Erica Bevan, Bobby Mallett, Kaila Porras, Kyle Mallett, Zowie Bauitsta, Sarah Bautista, Amaya Bautista and Sophia Bautsita; and her great grandchildren, Jyllianna Contrerras, Jayce Porras, Jaxson Mallett, Kandy Kasamis, Parker Kasamis, Zeus Bevan, Weston Bevan, Benjamin Sanders and Titan Sanders.
