He is survived by: his wife Diane Smith of Houston; his sons, James Smith, Edward Smith and Steven Smith (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Kiaya Lecher, Tabitha Smith, Ashton Huerta, Ryann Smith-Hobbs, Beau Smith and Taryn Smith; his great grandchildren, Cayden Milligan, Michael Huerta, Arianna Milligan and Izabelle Huerta; his sister-in-law Charlotte Smith; and his sibling's children, Toni Lewallen, Debra Smith, Matthew Newcomb and James Newcomb.
