He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Ruiz and Maria Ruiz (Carrasco); his son Johnnie Ruiz; and his wife Alice Ruiz. He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Sanchez and Audra Chan (Juan); and his siblings, Jaime P. Ruiz, Mary Jane Ruiz, Molly Garcia and Adela Masterpolito. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
