With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Juanita LaNelle Chapler Bennett (Carlsbad, New Mexico), who passed away on April 9, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Benny James and Rena James; her husbands, Roy Chapler Sr. and Richard Bennett; and her sisters, Donnie Snow and Faye Munson.

She is survived by: her children, Roy Chapler (Dana), James Chapler (Vickie), Connie White (Mark), Mary Howard (Ricky) and Suzanne Ballard (Jimmy); and her siblings, Benny Ray James, Candie Lewis, Joy Lewis and Junie James. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
