He was predeceased by: his parents, H. B. Whiteaker and Gertrude Whiteaker (Johns); his former wife Dorothy Whiteaker; and his brother Ronnie Whiteaker. He is survived by: his wife Eva Whiteaker; his daughters, Paige Evans (Tim) and Annette Mihelic; his stepchildren, Quintin Pettes (Julie), Blaine Pettes (Kim) and Kina Mills (Randy); his grandchildren, Taylor Munoz, Dana Romero, Sarah Cordova, Scott Jennings, Jacob Mihelic, Crystal Pettes, Regan Talbot, Mack Pettes, Chelsea Stockwell and Caleb Vannatter; and his siblings, Sandra Bowen and Roger Whiteaker (Brenda). He is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
