He is survived by: his wife Epigmenia Garcia; his children, Hilda Varela, Tomas Varela, Martin Garcia Jr., Melinda Garcia, Shantelle Garcia, Ashley Garcia, Lupita Garcia, Joe Garcia, Rudy Garcia and Steven Garcia; and his siblings, Linda Morrill, Rosa Bojorquez, Policarpio Garcia and Robert Garcia Sr. As. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the West Funeral Home Chapel (401 N Guadalupe St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A rosary was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the San Jose Catholic Church (1002 Debaca St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A Mass was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
