It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Miguel G. Lopez (Carlsbad, New Mexico), who passed away on May 10, 2026, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Aurelia "Laura" Martinez; his siblings, Eddie Martinez, Diana Martinez Tidwell and Pricilla Martinez; and his sister-in-law Florence Martinez.
He is survived by: his father Eusebio D. Lopez; his brothers, Abel Martinez, Alberto (Zelma Lopez) and Carlos (Teri Lopez); his brother-in-law Leonard Tidwell; and his children, Alea Lopez (Ramon Ortega), Heavenlee Allen (Mark), Jaden Vincent, Emily Lopez and Makayla Lopez. He is also survived by grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Denton-Wood Funeral Home (1001 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Grace Church (508 W Fox St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
