He is survived by: his wife Crystial Tanner; his children, Jennifer Nickoli, Michael Tanner (Misty) and Sicily Powell (Eric); his stepdaughters, Marti Giddings (Doug) and Rhonda Newby Torres; and his stepsister Julie Pettes. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
