He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Murillo and Carlota Murillo (Madrid); and his siblings, Maria Portillo, Jessie Navarrette and Richard Murillo.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Murillo; his children, Lionel Cerna, Joselyn Orona (Miguel) and Brittany Ragsdale; his grandchildren, Zoey Orona, Maximus Orona, Angelee Orona, Miguel Orona, Jr., Angelo Cerna, Adrian Cerna, Melani Rodriguez, Jaclynn Ragsdale, Ivan Martinez and Andreanna Martinez; his great grandchildren, Nola Rai and Milleiana; and his siblings, Aurelio Murillo (Olivia), Rogelio Murillo (Gloria), Oscar Murillo (Irma), Toribio Murillo and Teresa Murillo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Denton-Wood Funeral Home (1001 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A rosary will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the San Jose Catholic Church (1002 Debaca St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
