RaeLynn Smith Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of RaeLynn Smith of Carlsbad, New Mexico, who passed away on December 18, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Olivia Fierro. She is survived by: her husband Brian Smith; her children, Earl Phelps (Julie), Carl Smith (Kathryn), Patrick Smith (Moniquie), Carolyn Newman (Leon), Hannah Groves (Corey Moreno) and Jennah Groves (James Welch); her sister Mary Ann Schaefer; and her grandchildren, Taryn Newman, Christopher Smith, Benjamin Smith and Alexander Smith. She is also survived by many aunts and uncles, cousins.
The family would like to thank Dr. Masoud Khorsand M.D. and staff of Kymera Independent Physicians, Dr. Murugan Athigaman M.D. and staff, and the Faith, Hope and Love Foundation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Faith Hope & Love Foundation.
