She was predeceased by : her parents, Celestino Venegas and Juanita Venegas (Almanza); her husband Elias T. Montoya; and her sons, Richard Montoya, Usvaldo Montoya, Raul Montoya, Julian Montoya and Gilbert Montoya.

She is survived by : her granddaughter Shakiri Montoya; her great grandchild Usvaldo Montoya, III; and her children, Freddy Montoya of El Paso, TX, Joe Montoya of Carlsbad, NM, Albert Montoya (Tania) of Carlsbad, NM, Sonia Pineda of Carlsbad, NM, Elias N. Montoya of Carlsbad, NM, Thomas L. Montoya of Carlsbad, NM and Izak R. Montoya of Carlsbad, NM. She is also survived by twenty-nine grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
