He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Ida Hess Meyer and Herman Meyer; his sister Jaqueline Cowette; his son Glen Meyer; his former wife Loretta Truelove Meyer; his granddaughter Jessica Meyer; and his stepson Faron Truelove.
He is survived by: his wife LaVerne; his daughters, Debbra London and Trudy Gililland (Dick); his stepchildren, Susan Truelove Alexander, Danny Truelove and Terry Truelove; and his grandchildren, Lisa London (Audrey), Scott London (Michelle), Michelle Polk (Walter), Elicia Butler (Brady), Nick Haggard, Christine Woodall, Samantha Brown (Sean) and Ryan Meyer (Heather). He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Denton Wood Funeral Home (1001 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220).
