She was predeceased by: her parents, George Blackmon and Lillie Mae Dunlap (Dockins); her husband Rev. John Quincy Pirtle; her stepchildren, Karen Pirtle and Tony Pirtle; and her siblings, Juanita Stearns, Esther King, Lela Bell Giddens, Georgia Wooten and Odell Perkins.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia A. Haynes (Cleo), Yolanda K. Dotson (Larry), James King of San Francisco, CA, Robbie Pirtle of Carlsbad, NM, Eric V. Pirtle of Carlsbad, NM, Joan Pirtle of Dallas, TX and John Q. Pirtle, Jr. of San Francisco, CA; her stepson Stevie Pirtle of Phoenix, AZ.; and her sisters, Ella Faye Jones of Phoenix, AZ and Ruby Blackmon Coleman of Patterson, CA. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
