She was predeceased by: her parents, Amon Duke "Bud" Garner and Ella Garner (Gumm); her daughter Ramona; her husband Hank Merrick; her brothers, Melvin Garner and Roger Wayne Garner; and her son-in-law Sam Burnett.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Merrick of Portales, Peggy Burnett of Morton, TX and Wanda Newberry (Corky) of Clovis; and her grandchildren, Marshall Merrick (Tricia), Austin Tyrel Merrick, Daniel Merrick, Paula Moore (Nathan), Clinton Burnett (Echoe), James Newberry (Sara) and Mary Beth Williams (Heath).
