It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fidel Fabian Lopez of Chamisal, New Mexico, born in Ojo Sarco, New Mexico, who passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fidel Lopez and Aguida Lopez (Leyba); and his siblings, Nick Lopez, Ruth Montoya, Lydia Sanchez, Bennie Macarenas, Alden Lopez, Dennis Lopez and Percina Arellano.
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Apodaca Lopez; his children, Kelvin Lopez, Mary Lou (Federico Sanchez), Fabian (Lori Lopez) and Antoinette (Adrian Gonzales); his grandchildren, Athena, Chantel, Chenoa, Anja, Mary, Adrian II and Alexander; his great grandchildren, Delilah, Ares, Reyes, Scarlet Rae, Xavier and Neveah; and also Becky Garcia.
A prayer will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the San Antonio de Padua Church (14079 NM-75, Peñasco, NM 87553). A Mass will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
