He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Burton Wilkinson and Ruby Jewel Wilkinson (Taylor); his wife Barbara Ann Wilkinson (Gimson); his granddaughter Megan L. Wilkinson; his sisters, LaDonna Woolley and Deloris Paris; and his sisters-in-law, Pauline Wilkinson, Dora Lou Hickam and Nona Gimson.
He is survived by: his son Randy Joe Wilkinson (Karen Castillo); his grandchildren, Sarah J. Wilkinson (John Haymes) and Brett T. Newby (Melissa); his great grandchildren, Janaey B. Wilkinson of Darlington, Bennett Newby of Raleigh and Nash Thomas Newby of Raleigh; and his brothers, Val Wilkinson of Clayton and Eldean Wilkinson of Springer.
