He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Gibbs" Rucker and Ruby Inez Broxson; and his sister-in-law Sandra Rucker. He is survived by: his wife Jean Rucker; his children, Billy Rucker (Sherry) of Clovis, NM, Lynd Rucker (Tracy) of Canyon, TX and Leah Lee (Tim) of Clovis, NM; his brother Johnnie Rucker (Renee) of Clovis, NM; his grandchildren, Tara Bonestroo (Gage), Tanisha Aday (Curtis), Taylor Lee (Kayla), Rylie Garza (Mike), Chance Lee (Hannah), Justin Rucker (Dacey) and Hannah Daffern (Harrison); and his great grandchildren, Gwenyth Bree Lingnau (Tyler), Ava, Willem, Ruby Bonestroo, Dagun, Karvin Aday, Audrey, Carson Lee, Anders Garza and Asher Rucker. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Angels (1430 N Thornton St, Clovis, NM 88101).
