He was predeceased by: his mother Frances Johnson (Williams); his daughter Tamika Nance; his siblings, Jeanette Ashley and Steve Ashley; and his stepfather Anderson Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Ashley (Nance); his daughter Ashlinn Sykes (Nicole Harris) of Youngstown, OH; and his sister Anette Williams Edwards of Amarillo, TX. He is also survived by aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews, 8 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren.
