He is survived by: his sons, Mario Chavez (April) of Clovis, NM and Mark Chavez of Clovis, NM; his siblings, Priscilla Baldonado of Grand Prairie, TX, Sotero Chavez (Junior) of Clovis, NM and Mike Chavez of Clovis, NM; his grandchildren, Jordan Dickenson (Stephen), James Chavez, Crystal Chavez, Desiree Chavez, Esperanza Chavez and Mateo Chavez; and his great grandchildren, Vicente Chavez and Moni Salisbury.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Muffley Funeral Home (1430 N Thornton St, Clovis, NM 88101). A rosary was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (921 N Merriwether St, Clovis, NM 88101). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
