He was predeceased by: his parents, Roberta Vance and Edward Vance; his wife Joan Troutman; his brother Bill; and his nephew Rick McAlister.
He is survived by: his sister Wilma McAlister; his daughters, Jamie Vance of Tucumcari, JoAna Pineda and Jenny Vance of Tucumcari; and his grandchildren, Cory Fernandez, Cade Fernandez, James Jones, Joanie and Jodi Vance. He is also survived by four nieces and 5 nephews.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one of the following; Quay County 4-H, Quay County Fair Board, or New Mexico Cattle Growers.
