She was predeceased by : her parents, Antonio Ulibarri and Fidelia Ulibarri; and her siblings, Rafael Ulibarri and Viola Cortez. She is survived by : her husband John Chavez Sr.; and her godson Antonio Maez. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Steed Todd Funeral Home Chapel (800 E Manana Blvd, Clovis, NM 88101). A rosary was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (108 Davis St, Clovis, NM 88101). A Mass was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
