As we bid Mary farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mary is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Lucero and Pabilita Gonzales Lucero; her husband Elias Salazar; and her children, Rosetta Salazar and Victor Salazar. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Steed Todd Funeral Home (800 E Manana Blvd, Clovis, NM 88101). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Steed Todd Funeral Home Chapel (800 E Manana Blvd, Clovis, NM 88101). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (911 N Merriwether St, Clovis, NM 88101). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Texico Cemetery (374 Cr D, Texico, NM 88135).
