She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Tarango and Maria Tarango (Esqueda); her granddaughter Destiny Tarango; and her siblings, Raymond Tarango, Manuel Tarango, Socorro Franco and Linda Garcia.
She is survived by: her daughters, Angel Naylor of Clovis, NM, Diane Mondragon of Clovis, NM and Victoria Diaz (Juan) of Lubbock, TX; her siblings, Jessie Tarango (Gloria) of Andrews, TX, Chris Tarango of Portales, NM, Jane Tarango of Portales, NM, Tina Becerra (Daniel) of Portales, NM and Virginia Gallegos of Portales, NM; her grandchildren, Esperanza Tarango, Mercedes Salazar, Adrian Salazar and Isaiah Salazar; and her great grandchild Niko Fields.
A memorial gathering was held on Wednesday, April 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Muffley Chapel (1500 N Thornton St, Clovis, NM 88101, USA). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Portales Cemetery (1600 E 3rd St, Portales, NM 88130).
