It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Jean Duffield of Clovis, New Mexico, born in Muscatine, Iowa, who passed away on October 18, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Essex and Edith Essex; her sons, Steven L. Duffield and Bradley D. Duffield; her son-in-law Clinton W. Crusberg; her mother-in-law Ruby Troxel (Atkins-Duffield); and her siblings-in-law, Velma Graham, Lillian Proffit, Sophia McDonald, Harry Duffield, Arggle Proffit, John Crook and Herb McDonald.
She is survived by: her husband Myles H. Duffield; her siblings, Karen Crook of Muscatine, IA and Robert Essex (Bob) of Keaau, HI; her children, Rick Duffield (Pam) of Cottonwood, AZ, Lisa Crusberg of Delta Jct, AK, Greg Duffield (Theresa) of Farewell, TX, Valerie Roberts (Ronny) of Clovis, NM and Monique Cash (Ray) of Clovis, NM; her daughters-in-law, Melva Duffield and Becky Duffield of Clovis; and her sisters-in-law, Donna Lentocha and Lorinda Schmelzer of Muscatine, IA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and life-long friends.
A Parkinson's diagnosis eventually put a halt to all her travel and extracurricular activities, but she never lost her zest for life or her ability to laugh with you, or at you.
