He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette Lee Downey and Lillian Gurtrude; his former wife Cassie Audine Cameron (Dean); his son Russell Dwain Downey; his grandson Levi Downey; and his brothers, Harry Lee Downey and Clifford Downey.
