He was predeceased by : his parents, Steven Garcia and Barbara Dominguez; and his brothers, Randy Garcia and Stevie Garcia. He is survived by : his daughter Monquie Mascarenas-Garcia of Clovis, NM; his stepson Nicolas Mascarenas of Austin, TX; and his siblings, Lorrie Bonney (Gene) of Clovis, NM, Betty Regalado of Clovis, NM, Teddi Schmid of Alamogordo, NM, Terry Mitchell (Mitch) of Arizona, Susie W. Williams (Bobby) of Clovis, NM, Sandy Johnson of Alabama, Johnny Garcia of Arizona and David Garcia (Barbara) of Espanola, NM. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Angels (1430 N Thornton St, Clovis, NM 88101).
