He was predeceased by: his wife Juanita Sanchez; his parents, Francisco Sanchez and Maria Agada Sanchez; and his siblings, Miguel, Ernesto, Brigida, Telesfora, Eugenio, Regina and Oralia.

He is survived by: his children, Florencio Sanchez, Jr. (Anita), Rosa Sanchez, Steve Sanchez (Liz), Maria Furne, Lawrence Sanchez, Nancy Sanchez and Frances Dupre (Jack). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren.

A rosary will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church (9502 4th St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Mount Calvary Cemetery (1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102).
