She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Isidro Serrano and Ofelia Serrano; and her siblings, Viviana Gonzales, Gilberto Serrano, Ancelmo Roberto Serrano, Celerino Serrano and Baby Doe Serrano.

She is survived by: her husband Leonel Madrid (Leo); her children, Lionel Madrid, Leona Lujan (Gene Lujan Jr.), Steve Madrid, Johnny Madrid and Jason Madrid; her daughter-in-law Veronica Olivas; her cousin Delfido Chofe Herrera; and her caregiver Lorena Delgado. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and countless extended family members and close friends.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ursday Rivera Family Funerals & Cremations of Espanola (305 Cll Salazar, Española, NM 87532). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rosary /// Ursday Rivera Family Funerals & Cremations of Espanola (305 Cll Salazar, Española, NM 87532). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the San Juan Bautista Mission (54 Rio Arriba Co Rd 212, Coyote, NM 87012). A burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at the Coyote Cemetery.
