He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Chavez, Sr. and Armelina Chavez; his sisters, Helen Chavez and Esther Chavez; his niece Barbara Ortega; his great-niece Kimberly Vargas; his sister-in-law Linda Chavez; and his nephew Carlos Garcia.
He is survived by: his siblings, Daniel Chavez, Jr., Kim Chavez, Jeanette Garcia (Benny) and Elma Chavez; his children, Janelle Carrillo (Patrick Diwayan), Joshua Chavez (Carlos Gutierrez), Benjamin Chavez, Jr. (Amber) and Roman Lopez; and his grandchildren, Tristan Diwayan, Mya Rayne Diwayan, Koda Chavez, Tessa Chavez, Benjamin Chavez III, Monique Medina, Micheal Medina, Anabelle Medina and Karley Aragon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
