He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Maestas of Cuervo; his children, Donna Garcia (Fernie) of Las Cruces, Brenda Maestas (Ron Salinas) of San Antonio, TX, Beverly Maestas (Victor) of Santa Rosa and Erica Padilla (Lyndsey) of Dilia; his grandchildren, Donovan Romo (Vanessa), Jewel Escobar (Marvin), Derek Baca, Vanessa Lopez (Richard), Bailey Maestas (Jaden), Madison Maestas, Korey Padilla (Tava) and Kassie Padilla (Zane); his great grandchildren, Seneca, Genesis Romo, Aubrianna, Isabella Lopez Alvaro, Eli, Santiago Escobar and Eden Miller; and his siblings, Fred Maestas of Tucumcari and Rosalie Wimbley of Las Cruces.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chavez Funeral Home - Santa Rosa (923 S 3rd St, Santa Rosa, NM 88435). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church - Santa Rosa (439 S 3rd St, Santa Rosa, NM 88435). A burial will be held on Wednesday, November 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Cuervo Catholic Cemetery. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 11th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
