He was predeceased by: his father Candelario Montes; and his brother Antonio Montes. He is survived by: his mother Maria Aguirre; and his brothers, Daniel Montes (Gabriela Soto) and Manuel Montes. He is also survived by three nephews and nieces; maternal grandmother, extended family.
