He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Whitaker and Lillian Mae Truax; his daughter Allyson Whitaker Murin; and his siblings, Ruth Wilson, Marlene Smith, Phyllis Peterson and James T. Whitaker.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Kent Whitaker, Carol Arlys Sieg and Andrea Diane Whitaker. He is also survived by four grandsons, one granddaughter, two great grandsons, one great granddaughter, and eleven nieces and nephews.
