She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel Zapata; her parents, Pedro Castillo and Leonor Castillo; and her daughter Beatriz. She is survived by: her children, Johnny Zapata (Mary Ann) of Mimbres, Martha Mares (Robert) of Bayard and Sylvia Zapata of San Lorenzo; and her grandchildren, Johnny Zapata (Jocelyn), Crystal Herrera, Andrew Mares (Jennifer), Victoria Torres (Jimmy), Sarah Morrison (Kenny), Maria Zapata (Jeremy) and Mireya Zapata. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
