He was predeceased by: his parents, Roberto Casillas and Guadalupe Saenz; and his brothers, Richard Casillas and Luisito Casillas. He is survived by: his wife Maria Petra Casillas; his children, Jose Raul Casillas (Diana Martinez) of Deming, NM, Raymond Casillas Jr. of Deming, NM, Soledad Roman (Johnny Milo) of Deming, NM, Debra Ramirez (Agusto) of Deming, NM, Jessica Marie Proaño (Librado) of Deming, NM, Amanda Ortiz (Israel) of Deming, NM, Maryann Pulido (Luis) and Sandra Casillas of Las Cruces, NM; his siblings, Arturo Casillas (Estella) of Deming, NM, Bobby Casillas (Martha) of Deming, NM, Jessie Garcia (Kenny) of Deming, NM and Lorenza Romero (Anastacio) of Deming, NM; and his grandsons, Nathaniel Casillas and Michael Casillas. He is also survived by thirty grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
