She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Benavidez and Esperanza Benavidez. She is survived by: her husband Carl Runkel; her daughters, La Prial Runkel and Nicole Runkel; and her siblings, Carlos Benavidez, Ernestina Sainz and Aurora Vega.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Saint Ann's Catholic Church (400 S Ruby St, Deming, NM 88030).
She lost Ronald due to complications from Alzheimer's Disease in 2021.
