He is survived by: his siblings, Michael (Helen) of Phoenix, AZ, Sally Fresquez (Tomas) of Dexter, NM and Stacy Matta (Daniel) of Phoenix, AZ; his siblings-in-law, Louisa Matta of Bloomfield, NM and Martin Flores of Albuquerque, NM.; his niece Monica Fresquez; his uncles, Manuel Linares, Ramon Linares, Lee Roy Linares and Ruben Linares; his aunt Delia Schulte; his children, Mauricia Zoar of Michigan, Amanda Williams of Georgia, Jerry Matta Jr. and Robert Matta of Arizona; and his caregivers, Guadalupe, Betty and Lisa.
